Description
A Particle Count Standard Kit comprises a particle suspension of a well defined particle concentration with a magnetic stir bar, together with a background sample; and is designed to check count results of a particle counting instrument in comparison to the given counts per ml specified in the accompanying certificate.All Particle Count Standard Kits will be supplied ready-to-use. Firstly the instrument is checked as to whether it is particle-free using the background sample. Next the main count measurement will be performed using the Particle Count Standard. We recommend - for both the background sample as well as the Particle Count Standard itself - purging with 5ml first followed by 7 consecutive count measurements of 5ml each. Finally the counts should be averaged and their variation limit should be determined.
